Chelsea Katelyn Haines

Chelsea Katelyn Haines, age 31, tragically passed away after a brief illness on September 25, 2024. She was the daughter of Scott and Becky Haines of Salem. She was a 2011 graduate of Woodstown High School, a 2013 graduate of Stockton University with a BA in communication and media studies. She earned her Master's degree in higher education administration from Rowan University in 2017. She worked as Director of Philanthropy and Communications of Inspira Hospital Systems Foundation, where she passionately worked to raise money for the benefit of many.
Chelsea volunteered her time as a board member for Salem County Meals on Wheels over the past 7 years, working hard to ensure that no senior went hungry and that every meal was delivered with care. Chelsea was an attender of the Salem Friends Meeting where she happily volunteered time with their annual pot pie fundraisers. Additionally, she spent many hours volunteering with the Woodstown FFA. Her kindness and leadership was inspiring.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, boating and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She had an extensive social life spending time loving all those who loved her. She lived life her own way with a fiery spirit, but her heart was devoted to her three brothers.
Chelsea is survived by her parents Scott and Becky Haines; her brothers Ben, Justin and Will Haines and Jason Lehew; her maternal grandparents Kennora Thompson and Andy Thompson; her amazingly loyal friends Abby, Alex, Amanda, Kat, & Melissa; her sisters Lindsey, Rachel and Brittany; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Warren and Madeline Haines.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 3 to 6 PM at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. After the viewing, family and friends are invited to the Elmer Grange, 535 Daretown Road, Elmer, NJ 08318 to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Chelsea's memory to Meals on Wheels of Salem County, PO Box 888, Elmer, NJ 08318 or online at www.scmealsonwheels.org
