Chinaedu James Obah

Chinaedu James Henry Obah, age 24, a beloved individual, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. He was born on June 25, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois, as the fifth child among seven siblings to Herbert and Maureen Obah.
James accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at All Saints Antiochian Orthodox Church in Chicago. James possessed a remarkable capacity for love and he was cherished by those who knew him. His vibrant energy left a lasting impression with everyone he met, even after a single encounter. James' smile brought joy and happiness wherever he went. James found joy in jet aircrafts, anime, gaming, sports, and cherished valuable moments with his family.
James graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 2017, where he excelled as a member of the football team, earning championships and numerous accolades. After his high school career, James embarked on his college journey. In 2017, he enrolled at Northeastern University, where he majored in aviation and was a member of the JROTC. Eventually, James transferred to Lewis University, a prestigious aviation institution in Illinois. His lifelong passion for aircraft from an early age set him on this chosen career path.
James was a dedicated and diligent individual, known for his strong work ethic. He worked as an aircraft refueler at O'Hare Airport, where he took great pride in his role. He often shared photos of his favorite planes with his family, showcasing his deep love for the aviation industry.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
James is survived by his mother, Maureen Obah; father, Herbert Obah Sr.; four brothers, Herbert Obah Jr., Ndubuisi Vincent Obah, Chimezie Obah, and Obioma Obah; two sisters, Sarah Obah and Jacquelyn Obah; five nieces, Aliyah, Rasheeri, Ania, Niza, and Perpetua; and five nephews, Alam, Matthias, Azarias, Eusebias, and Menas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 1 p.m. at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 West Lawrence Ave., Chicago. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
