Chris Turner, age 51, was born in Lake Providence, LA born on 10/9/1974, and a resident of Stonewall, LA. He passed away surrounded by family on 1/22/2026 at East Jefferson Hospital at Tulane in New Orleans, LA.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles Mack Dukes, Helen Tarver, Maxine and Shelby Turner.

Survived by his wife Christy Petty Turner and his three daughters, Emily Turner, Claire Turner and Allie Thompson of Stonewall, La. Parents; Francis and Sheron Lensing of Lake Providence, La., Mike and Martha Turner of Oak Grove, La. Sisters; Charlie and Thomas Patton of Choudrant, La., Michael Ann and Kody Klink of Swartz, La., Mary Ann and Trimble Mabray of Lake Providence, La., Brother, Jim and Megan Lensing of Lake Providence, La.,Grandmother,Mary Dukes of Lake Providence, La., His beloved nieces and nephews - Turner and Ryder Patton, Noah Klink, Jay, Mack, and Mitchell Lensing, Elizabeth, Tripp, and Mary Frances Mabray. He is also survived by extended family members and numerous friends whose lives he touched.

He will be remembered by his bright smile, his encouraging words, his tenacity and drive, his tireless work ethic and his deep love for his family. He was a devoted son, brother, father and grandson. His beautiful wife and three daughters were his pride and joy. No trip back home was complete without presents and gifts for his nieces and nephews. He was the cool uncle!

Chris graduated high school from Briarfield Academy and later earned a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University. He served as the sales manager of Holmes European Motors for 22 years. Most recently he found a work family that he dearly loved with Dealer's Truck Equipment, Shreveport, La.

He loved all things outdoors where he spent many days in the woods and on the water. No camping trip was complete until Chris showed up with any kind of gear necessary or imaginable. He took great pride in preparing all the meals and made sure no one left hungry. He was known for having everything from work to his adventures thoughtfully mapped out. He and his lovely wife, Christy, shared a love that was unbreakable and was evident to all who knew them.

There will be a Memorial Service in his Honor of Chris at the First Baptist Church of Lake Providence on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at 2:00 PM and visitation at 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

Officiating will be Reverend Phil Howard and Reverend Thomas Patton.
