Clifford Roy Wessling Jr., age 93, passed away Monday afternoon, September 8, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born on October 23, 1931, in Dayton, Kentucky, to Juanita (nee Perry) and Clifford Roy Wessling Sr.

Starting when he turned 84, Cliff stated he would live to 100 and told everyone how many 'years to go' he had every birthday thereafter. While he didn't make it to that milestone, he had a life well lived and will be missed by his loved ones.

Cliff served his country in the United States Navy for 2 years. After the military, he worked for the United States Post Office as a carrier for almost 20 years in Newport, and then Florida. Cliff moved to Atlanta and worked in a variety of jobs before going back to school at Emory University to become a certified x-ray technician, working for another 10 years before retiring.

A man with many hobbies, he enjoyed playing golf, worked at a golf course, and played at Augusta National Golf Club in a tournament with his over 60 golf group. Following the death of his second wife Dee, he moved back to Northern Kentucky in his 80s. He would spend his time cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Cincinnati Reds and UK basketball, playing card games at the Campbell County Senior Center, and spending time with his son Trent who took care of him.

Cliff is survived by his sons Trent (ex-wife Maggi) and Terry (Mary), and his grandchildren Sarah, Patrice (Joe), and Tim. He was preceded in death by his wife Dee, his former wife and mother of his children, Sandy, and his parents.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
