Corinne Ann Hay, 89, of Hedding, NJ, went to meet her Lord peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Marcella Center, Burlington, NJ.
Born in Burlington, NJ, Corinne resided in Hedding most of her life. Corinne was a life long member of the Hedding United Methodist Church. While there she was both children's and adult choir, Sunday school and Bible study teacher, assisted with the Oyster Suppers and participated with the youth group when her siblings were younger. People at Hedding Church were a very important part of her life, as well as sharing the Lord with anyone. While in high school, Corinne was involved as a leader in the 4-H organization. After graduating in 1954 from William MacFarland H.S. in Bordentown, she worked at numerous jobs in the Bordentown and Princeton areas. In 1957, she was selected as an IFYE (International Farm Youth Exchange) to work on farms for 6 months in France. When the Peace Corp was established, Corinne was in the first group of volunteers to join. She was in Brazil from January 1962-January 1964. On her return home, she worked for the Peace Corp recruiting college students from all over the United States. Due to a family illness, she left the Peace Corp to return home. Corinne loved to travel and share her knowledge with her many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She loved to sing, play the piano both at home and in church, read, share her of love of the theater, and just have fun with family and the numerous friends she had around the country.
Corinne is predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Anna (Davis) Hay, her brother Lester Hay her sisters Gloria (Hay) Nailie and Ruth Doris Hay and in-laws Betty Hay and Jim Horner. She is survived by Holmes (Pat) Hay, Clifford Hay and Dawn (Hay) Horner, as well as her sister-in-law Jeanne Hay. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday April 12th at Hedding United Methodist Church, 2289 Old York Road, Hedding, NJ. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm, with the Celebration of Life immediately following.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Corinne's memory to Hedding United Methodist Church, P.O Box 25, Columbus, NJ 08022.
