Courtney Leigh (Heuser) Schweinhart of Louisville, KY died on August 18, 2025 at the age of 52 years old. Born on February 15, 1973, Courtney lived in Louisville for the duration of her life. She was born to Sandra Reavley Heuser and the late Michael Robert Heuser.
Courtney attended Sacred Heart Academy, earned a bachelors degree in Graphic Design from the University of Louisville and her masters degree in teaching at Bellarmine University. Courtney taught preschool at St. Paul's Episcopal and elementary education at St. Therese and St. Edward's. After teaching, she enjoyed lending her creative gifts to other educators.
Courtney loved her family, close friends, traveling, art and her pets. She embodied the will to live life fully and persevered through tremendous obstacles throughout her life. She would do anything for others, and her courage was monumental, as was her heart.
Courtney is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, John Edward Schweinhart, loving daughter, Abigail Renee Schweinhart, brother, Michael Brett Heuser and mother, Sandra Reavley Heuser.
A private celebration of life for immediate family will be held at a later date. Courtney's final resting place will be at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Courtney's memory can be made to either the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or the Kentucky Humane Society.
