Danene Light Wilson, aged 76, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, in Houma, Louisiana. Born on August 8, 1949, she was the daughter of Thomas Dan and Helen B. Light of Gray, Texas.
She leaves behind her cherished husband, Johnny A. Wilson Sr.; sons Johnny A. Wilson Jr. and Russell Wilson, married to Beth; grandchildren Emily Champagne, married to Cam, Jeremy Wilson, Cassidy Guidry, and Katelynn Wilson; and great-grandsons Bryant and Blake Champagne.
Danene was preceded in death by her parents.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Danene's warmth and kindness touched many. She was passionate about sewing, crocheting, and creating beautiful, handcrafted items, showcasing her talent and artistry. She was a foundational pillar of her family, always providing love and support.
The family sincerely thanks Haydel Memorial Hospice, Terrebonne Healthcare Inc., and Mr. Kieth Weisheit for their compassionate care and support during her final days.
