Daniel "Doc" Joseph Cicharz, age 59, of New Hope died May 22 at his home with family at his side.
Dan was born on October 2, 1964, and graduated from Wayzata High School. He owned and operated The Trim Doctor, installing car appearance and protection products business for over 25 years.
Dan experienced a lengthy battle with cancer and dealt with many medical issues as a result. Even though there were daily obstacles that gradually made life more challenging, he never let it change who he was or his outlook on living his life, He had a gift of bringing people together whether it was at his cabin, hosting a fish fry, having one of his famous pool parties, or organizing one of his many scuba diving trips. Scuba diving and fishing were his passion.
Dan is survived by his brothers, Mike (Pam) Cicharz, Rick (Pat) Cicharz; Sisters, Mary Kay (Gary) Walch, Patti (Jeff) Eckhoff, Jeannie Berg; his dog, Knuckles; his nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Rita Cicharz; and brother-in-law, Dennis Berg.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 13th at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal. Visitation 3 to 5 pm with a 5:00 PM service and meal to follow. Friends are encouraged to bring a story to share.
