Daniel Alan Daugherty, 59, of Wales Twp., passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Dan's greatest joy and treasure were his children. He was a family man through and through. Dan loved to watch football and was hoping for a Lions victory this year, he was a diehard Lions fan. Dan was a coach and volunteer for the Memphis Jr. Jackets, TAFL league. He was an avid fan of watching his boys play the game of football. His hobbies included Star Wars, singing Karaoke, going bowling and camping with family. His faith in Jesus Christ was unending. He was a very skilled and creative person, he really could make anything!
He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Daugherty, of 18 years; his children, Andrew Daugherty, Ashley (Tony) Harmon, Alan (AJ) Daugherty, Drew Daugherty and Joseph Daugherty; grandchildren, Theodore and Felyx. Also, survived by his father, William Daugherty Sr.; siblings, Kathy Pert, Ron (Esther) Daugherty, William (Kim) Daugherty Jr., Rick (Kim) Daugherty, Ken (LeAnn) Daugherty, DuWayne (Sherry) Daugherty and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Daniel is predeceased by his mother, Mary Daugherty and brothers-in-law, Jason Frank and Monty Pert; uncle George Albers.
The family honors the memory of Dan and invites you to visit and share memories Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday with 10:00 a.m. visiting.
Memorials are suggested to the Wishes of the Family for the children's education fund.
