Danny had a true servant's heart! He was always willing to help anyone and everyone, even if to give the shirt off his own back. Material possessions meant little to Dan; instead, he found joy in giving to others. He regularly used his own time and resources to prepare and hand out sandwiches and home-cooked meals to those experiencing homelessness.
Danny was a freelance carpenter. Over the years, he worked for Melody Homes, Gregory Construction, Hayes & Sons, and MAP Industrial.
Danny was a man of faith who attended One Body Ministries and gave himself through volunteer work at One Body Ministries and Servant's Heart Pantry.
He served in the United States Army and found peace in one of his favorite pastimes- fishing.
Danny is survived by his siblings, Agnes (Tom) Hawley, Bill (Karen) Patterson, John (Kaye) Patterson, Mike (Debbie) Patterson, Patty (Mike) Kaschak, Mary Jo (Dave) McGowan, Tim Patterson, Chris Patterson and Susie (Joe) Shanks; sister in law, Jill Patterson; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Agnes "Dolly" Patterson; and brothers, Matthew and Bob Patterson.
He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery on Thursday, August 7th at 12:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at 2:00 pm at One Body Ministries, 3132 Carson Ave, Indianapolis, 46227
