Daniel L. Urbanski

Daniel L. Urbanski, age 84 of Michigan City, Indiana passed away in the comfort of his home on February 2, 2025. Dan was born on February 22, 1940 in Elwood, Indiana to Steven and Harriet (Prusinowski) Urbanski who have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Ritchie) Urbanski; sons, Mark (Angela) Schoof and Matthew Urbanski; his daughter, Stephanie Moore; grandchildren, Molly, Taylor, Austin, Alyssa, Sarah, Noah, Lily; three great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Mary Urbanski. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Urbanski and Eugene (Karen) Urbanski. Dan was a headstrong and "under the radar" type of guy. He kept close to his family and trusted friends. He loved his grandchildren dearly and it was clear to them that he was like another father to them. Dan was hard-working and dedicated to providing for his family. He was extremely mechanically skilled and his passion was classic cars. Whether it be restoring, repairing, or just tinkering around, he truly enjoyed the work. He also loved football and insisted on catching the games, even up until his last days he wanted to watch football. Dan will be fondly remembered by his adoring wife, family and close circle of friends.
