Darlene Judith Lance, born on January 30, 1953, was called to rest on January 26, 2024, at the age of 70. She graduated from Norton High School and later pursued education at the University of Akron, earning her bachelor's degree, which laid the foundation for a fulfilling career dedicated to shaping young minds.
Darlene's commitment to education touched the lives of many students, leaving an indelible mark on those she met in and outside of the classroom. Later in life, she transitioned to Giant Eagle, where she continued to contribute positively to all those around her.
Darlene was preceded in death by, Alfred Cottrell, in 2012. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Nathan and Meghan, granddaughter, Grace; Ben and Marissa, grandsons Noah and Landon, granddaughter Malina. Darlene is also survived by her sisters, Daline and Andra.
In accordance with Darlene's wishes, there will be no formal funeral or memorial service, but a celebration of her life will be held at a date to be scheduled. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and reminisce about the wonderful moments shared with Darlene.
Darlene's legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication to her family and friends will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she created throughout her remarkable life.
