Jon David "Dave" Fuller, 78, of Shepherdsville (formerly Louisville and Sellersburg, Indiana), passed away with family by his side, on Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ruby Fuller, and Norman and Hope Fuller.
Dave was a 1963 graduate of Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He spent many years after, working for South Central Bell (BellSouth Telecommunications), most recently as Manager of Building Operations.
He then took a leap of faith, and went on to create a large, successful lawn and landscape company, FullCare Chemical Lawn Service in 1979, that he ran as President and General Manager for almost 20 years. In the years following its sale, Dave transitioned into the car and truck sales arena, working for many dealerships in Kentucky. Before his retirement just three years ago, he was Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager at Bachman Chevrolet, where coworkers admired his integrity and humor.
Dave was a very savvy, intelligent businessman, and put his all in everything he did. He has served on various boards of directors. Dave was also heavily involved in the construction and promotion of Great Flood Brewing in Louisville. His work ethic and many talents were second to none.
Dave is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tuula Fuller. Children are Morgan Fugit (Steve), Bryce Fuller (Kirsten), and Kylie Coleman, all of Georgetown, Indiana; Matthew Fuller (Alex Burke), of Shepherdsville, and Christian Pidgeon of Louisville. He has nine grandchildren.
Dave's siblings also cherishing his memory are Allen Fuller (Susan) and Elouise Lambert, of Florida, and Nikki Peckham and Vikki Fuller, of Clarksville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his former wife, the mother of his three older children, and a lifelong friend, Paige (Farnsley) Vollmer.
Dave never burned a bridge, which explains the many friends he had over the years. He was an excellent husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His unique sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Cremation was chosen. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 3 pm - 8 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Friends of Metro Animal Services, 3528 Newburg Rd., Louisville, KY 40218.
