CLIFTON PARK- David P. Allison, 76, of Clifton Park, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 29, 2025. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Bentz) Allison. He was a graduate of Vincentian Institute Catholic High School in Albany and earned degrees from Hudson Valley Community College and Siena College. He married his wife of 50 years, Cheri Brewster, in 1975 and moved to Latham in 1983 where they raised their family. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church. He retired in 2006 after 34 years with the NYS Department of Health as a Principal Healthcare Analyst.
David enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and walking. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan, and had a life-long love of books and history. He also loved music and sharing his interests with his grandchildren. Above all, he loved his family. He was a role model to his children and grandchildren through his example of responsibility, honesty, integrity, and charitableness.
David is survived by his wife, Cheri Allison; his daughters Elisha Carivan and Jennifer Allison (Adam Charbonneau); his siblings Christine (Michael) Keneston, John Allison (Sharon Bennett), Michael (Carol) Allison, Lynn Allison, Alfred J. (Michael) Allison; and his grandchildren Lauren and Emma. He was uncle to 15 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Paul Allison.
