Beloved husband, father, grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his home, with his family at his side. Age 74 years.
The son of the late William John and Rose Julia (Vedrode) Frollo, Dave was born on May 30, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Hemlock High School, with the class of 1969. Dave proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. He married Sally Ann Daubert on December 19, 1970. They shared many blessed years together. She survives him. Dave dedicated his career to the automotive industry at General Motors from 1971 until his retirement in 2008. He continued his commitment to hard work at John Deere from 2013 to 2018. A devoted member of The Well Community Church, Dave contributed significantly to the church community, serving alongside his fellow believers. He lived a life of service. Dave had a deep passion for nature, which he expressed through hunting, gardening, farming his crops, and tending to his orchards. His generosity was evident as he donated the food harvested to the church and local food bank, showcasing his commitment to helping those in need. Above all, Dave cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones, especially his grandsons.
Surviving besides his wife, Sally Frollo; are son, David and Michelle Frollo; daughter, Angelique and Brett Gunsalus; grandsons, Ethan, Daniel, Logan, Jacob, Dylan; brothers, sisters, and their spouses, William Jr. and Alice Frollo, Janine Gehrig, Christine Rohn, James and Deidre Frollo, John and Donna Frollo. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Ann Cavanaugh.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Covenant Harrison and Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Dave.
Honoring Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at The Well Community Church, 247 N. Fordney Rd, Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Clayton Beck will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Well Community Church.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
