He was born on March 16, 1946, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Edward and Margaret Walsh Glatz.
Dave was a 1964 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School, and graduated from Marietta College in 1968, then went on to earn his MBA from University of Dayton in 1971.
He was a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor with Glatz and Obecny for many years. He was a devout catholic, raised in Corpus Christi Catholic Church where he continued to be an integral part of the parish. Dave loved God, his family, and his friends.
Dave was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Judith (Friend) Glatz; daughter, Diana (Buddy) Tucker of Wheeling, WV; two sons, Dr. Stephen (Julie) Glatz, Dr. Dennis (Jennifer) Glatz both of Dublin, OH; seven beautiful grandchildren, Hayley & Eli Tucker, Lucie & Matthew Glatz, and Lillian, Emelia and Margaret Glatz; two brothers, Tom (Carol) Glatz of Burnsville, NC, Ted (Judy) Glatz of Wheeling, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2-8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home – Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 am with Father Joseph Wiley as celebrant. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or Corpus Christi School to 1508 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003, and Wheeling Central Catholic High School to 75-14th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
