David Raymond Hegre

With heavy hearts but joyful memories, we announce the passing of David Raymond Hegre, who left us on November 22, 2024, at the age of 63. Dave was born in Arvada, Colorado, on April 19, 1961, a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Connor) Hegre.
Dave was a proud graduate of Hopkins Lindbergh High School (1979) before attending the University of Minnesota. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics and had a successful career in sales including VP of Sales at Norstan. In addition to sales and consulting, he was a trusted recruiter and owner of Highland Consulting.
Dave married the love of his life, Elizabeth Larson, the daughter of the late Richard and Jean (McLean) Larson, in 1983 and together they welcomed three children: Justin, Sara and Mitchell. He was a doting grandfather and a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, Flyer and friend. Rarely idle, Dave enjoyed time with family, winemaking, remodeling, landscaping and tinkering with odd jobs. An avid athlete from day one, he enjoyed hockey, soccer, golf, snowboarding, biking and kite-surfing.
Dave is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Hegre; eldest son, Justin Hegre (wife Michaela and Ella, Jackson, Benjamin, Kate Marjorie); daughter, Sara Puentes (husband Richard and Sofia, Richard); youngest son, Mitchell Hegre; brother, Mike (Charlene); sisters Kathy Wogsland and Patty Walters (Todd); sister-in-law, Karen Hutchings (Tom); and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; brother-in-law, Leonard and nephew, Adam.
Memorial service to be held on Sunday, December 1st, at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
