A son of the late James Carl Johnson and Gennie Elizabeth Buckner Johnson, he was born January 6, 1937 in Kingsport, Tennessee having lived in Toccoa since 1964. He was a self-employed carpenter. He loved NASCAR, college football, baseball, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Charlie Marler of Toccoa; grandchildren, Jacob McIntyre, Derrick and Alyssa McIntyre, Scarlett Duckworth, Emerald Crunkleton.
His wishes were to be cremated. No visitation or service planned.
Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. David Windsor Johnson.
