David Lehman

David E. Lehman, 64 of Abilene passed away August 12, 2025. He was born September 9, 1960 in Abilene, the son of Frank and Mary (Gfeller) Lehman. David graduated Abilene High School in 1978.After graduating, he went to Kansas State University and received his B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from K-State as well as his MBA from the University of Missouri. David taught at K-State for 19 years, including roles as an Instructor in the Department of Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Associate Director of the National Strategic Selling Institute, and Advisor of the National Agri-Marketing Association Team. His additional work experience includes UMB Bank as a commercial lending and business development officer, 13 years of teaching in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri and the Dow Chemical Company where he started his career in sales. David is survived by his three brothers: Roger, Thomas and Michael (Stacey) Lehman. Seven nephews: Kenton and Kalen Howard; Blaise, Brock, Brogan and Bentley Lehman and Lucas Lehman. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Deanna Lehman and Sandra Howard. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Abilene City Cemetery with Pastor Stan Norman officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 -7 P.M., at Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to The Community Foundation of Dickinson County.
