David was born July 5, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ruth Blanche (Breitenstein) and Ralph Lee Samples, Jr. He was a resident of Sinton almost 4 years and former resident of Denver, Colorado.
David was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force serving 12 years as a firefighter and 8 as a Safety Professional. He has worked for the United States Antarctic Program as a Safety Manager for the past 16 years.
David is preceded in death by his granddaughter: Kayleigh Marie; grandsons: Grant Alexander and Brayden Peltier.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years: Donna Samples, Sinton, Texas; sons: Michael David (Melissa) Samples; Daniel Mark (Christian) Samples; Elijah Parker Samples; daughters: Tara Michele (Steve) Lopez; Jessica Ruth (David) Smith; Emily Michele (Damian) Kostur: 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi.
