David F. Stratton, 72, of Ewing, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. Born in Trenton, NJ, to William and Gwendolyn (Doolittle) Stratton, David, a professional land surveyor was the third-generation owner and President of Trenton Engineering Company, a role he dedicated his life to for over 40 years.
In his earlier years, David found great joy in playing golf with his father, spending many days on the golf course at Trenton Country Club. As his family grew, he cherished the role of grandfather and was actively involved in attending his grandchildren's sporting events and other activities. David also loved vacationing on Long Beach Island and had a passion for watching westerns and cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
David was predeceased by his parents, William and Gwendolyn Stratton, his in-laws, Joseph and Marguerite DeVaney, and his sister-in-law, Barbara DeVaney.
David is survived by his loving wife, Diane (DeVaney) Stratton; his children, Brian (Lesley) Stratton, Craig (Michele) Stratton, and Lauren (William) Rudowski; and his precious grandchildren, Connor, Emily, Lexie, Matthew, Natalie, and Melanie. He is also survived by his sisters, Beth (Edward) Bice and Pamela Miller, along with two nephews and a niece.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ 08638.
