David Frank Wade Sr., aged 66, passed away on July 8th, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering dedication to family and community. He is pre-deceased by his father, Parrott Wade, Jr. David is survived by his loving mother, Madeline Wade; loving wife Doreathia Wade; his devoted children, Morgan Davis, David Wade, Jr., as well as his stepchildren, Terry Seymore, Taquisha Seymore, Trent Smith, 13 grandchildren and 6 bonus grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by 6 siblings, Pamela Clark (Kenneth), Mark Wade, Kent Wade, Yuonne Manigo, Gregory Wade (Annette), Jennifer Marshall (Larry), and brother-in-law Michael Seymore.
David graduated from Kellam High School in 1977, later honing his passion for communication at Norfolk State University. His academic pursuits, coupled with his natural rapport with people, set him on a path that was both dynamic and fulfilling.
After graduating from college, David got his start managing 7-Eleven's in the Virginia Beach area, where he became a familiar face to neighbors and regulars for over a decade. He had a gift for connecting with people, whether it was behind the counter or behind the wheel. Eventually, he shifted gears and found his calling on the road as a long-distance truck driver, where he achieved the outstanding professional driver award, reaching over 1 million miles driven. He loved the freedom of the highway, the peace of long drives, and the chance to see the country with his favorite music playing in the background. Later in his career, he brought that same drive and dedication to the railroad, helping move goods across the region as part of a cargo distribution team. Through it all, David took pride in doing honest work, serving others, and finding joy in the everyday journey.
Beyond his professional achievements, David was a pillar of strength and support for many. His lively personality and steadfast reliability made him a cherished friend and confidant.
A devoted husband, parent, papa, son, and brother, David's life was a testament to service, both to his family and community. As we honor his memory, we celebrate not just the professional milestones he achieved but also the genuine care and warmth he extended to every life he encountered.
In remembrance of David Frank Wade Sr., let us reflect on a life well-lived-a life marked by a passion for connection, a commitment to family, and a spirit that will forever guide those who knew and loved him. His dedication, lively humor, and compassionate soul will remain in our hearts as we strive to carry forward the lessons he bestowed upon us all. We love you, David!

We are extending our most heartfelt condolences to the wife, family and friends of our nephew and cousin, David. He was such a light to so many. Most times, with a quick smile, a light and kind hello, and if your were fortunate enough, a funny story to share with you. You will be missed by many as you were certainly cared for by many. Family we so love you, and wish that we could be there.
