David Wayne Wysong

David Wayne Wysong, 69 years of age, of Spearman, Texas, passed away in the comfort of his recliner at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2024. He was born as a special Christmas gift to his parents, Edwin Wayne and Joann Wysong on December 25, 1954, in Dumas, Texas.
After graduating from Guymon High School, David attended Oklahoma University. He enjoyed working in the food industry and became manager of several restaurant chains including Cracker Barel and Dairy Queen. David carried a very humble, kind and caring persona and in turn, his employees had much respect for him and his leadership abilities.
Often times, David found that sitting by himself in peaceful solitude with a good book to read or perhaps sitting on the shore with a fishing pole in hand was the answer to life's problems. Then again, sometimes, he wanted nothing more than to yell at the TV when his favorite football teams were playing! All in all, David was a fairly simple man with a gentle heart for those he loved.
He was greeted into eternity by his parents; a stepfather, Jospeh Yell and a sister, Rebecca Carrington.
His memories will be cherished by his sister, Barbara Dees and husband Randy; a niece, Nicole Parish and great niece, Brooke Allo as well as a great nephew, Connor Allo all of Corinth, Texas.
The family has opted not to have Celebration of Life services at this time. They have entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
In honor of David, the family has kindly suggested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 653067, Dallas, TX 75265-000.
