Debra J Reeves, 69 of Midland passed away unexpectedly March 27 at Cascades Senior Living in Midland. Deb was born September 25, 1955 in Bryan, OH to the late Harvey and Janet (Leidigh) Reeves.
When she was a young girl her family moved to Orlando, FL where she spent her childhood and attended school there. In 1979 they moved to Midland and she attended Delta College. Deb spent many years helping her mother create Janet Reeves Hug-A-Bear collectible teddy bears and travelling the world to teddy bear shows making many friends. In 2018 Deb retired from the Bay County Library, Auburn Branch.
Debra is survived by her brother David (Shannon) Reeves of Midland, nephew Bryan Reeves of Saginaw and special aunt Sharon (Vernon) Yant of Essexville as well as many cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her sister and best friend Linda Reeves.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Midland County Humane Society in her honor.
Deb's family would like to thank the staff at Davita Dialysis for their exceptional care of Deb during her dialysis treatments.
