Della A. Cusimano, 100, formerly of 129 Hotchkiss St. and the Crane Street Apartments, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Samuel L. Cusimano whom she married Sept. 2, 1946 and who died May 24, 2005.
An area resident most of her life, Della was born in Portland, NY on Dec. 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Charlie and Frances Morriale Arnone. She belonged to St. John Catholic Church and was a member of Junior Matrons for many years and had served as secretary.
Della enjoyed reading and working the Jumble and Cryptogram in the daily newspaper. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them.
Surviving is her son, Russell A. (Sue) Cusimano of Jamestown and daughter, Patricia L. (Jon Peterson) Lundin of Lakewood; three grandchildren: Jenifer (Stacey Spicer) Cusimano of Elyria, OH, and Anthony (Kate) Cusimano and Lindsey (Scott) Ordines, both of Jamestown; and six great-grandchildren: Gia & Aly Cusimano and Aurora & Izzi and twins Olivia & Ryan Ordines.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Brunacini and Emma Arnone; four brothers, Samuel, Dominic & Joseph Arnone and Paul Mancuso; and an infant daughter, Cindy Cusimano in March of 1952.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 30th in the Lind Funeral Home, with friends to be received for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Falconer Library, Ronald McDonald House, or American Cancer Society.
