Born on August 17, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Bernice Bresinski, Dennis embodied the quintessence of a life devoted to love, family, and friendship.
Dennis attended De La Salle High School, graduating in 1962. Little did he know that his high school years would set the stage for a lifetime of profound connections and adventures. Through mutual friends, he met the love of his life, Lenore, who would become his wife on May 8, 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life, sharing nearly 55 years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.
Dennis was the proud and devoted father of two children, Eric and Andrea. Through marriage, his family grew as Dennis welcomed Melissa and Aaron into the fold, always considering them a second daughter and second son. His joy was further amplified by the births of his two grandsons, Alexander and Luke, with whom he proudly shared countless memories and moments.
A brother to Audrey Stortz and a beloved uncle to Diane, Gail, Stephen, Michael, Suzanne, Lynn, John, Lisa, Mark, Michelle, and Nicole. Dennis enriched the lives of his family members with his captivating storytelling, infectious laughter, and his innate ability to make everyone feel special.
Dennis was a true son of Detroit, embracing his hometown's unwavering spirit by supporting all Detroit sports teams. Yet, nothing delighted him more than attending his son's sporting events or cheering his grandsons on at their games. As a proud Marine Reserve during the Vietnam War, Dennis exemplified courage and dedication, both to his country and to the values he held dear.
Known for his big heart and friendly nature, Dennis cultivated lifelong friendships that were as essential to him as his family. With a love for fantasy football and a knack for cards, particularly poker, Dennis shared countless evenings with friends, filled with spirited competition and camaraderie.
Dennis' legacy is one of profound love and unwavering dedication to family and friends. He celebrated their achievements and cherished their company, always being their most passionate supporter. His family was his greatest triumph, his love for them fierce and unyielding.
As we say goodbye to Dennis, we reflect on a life marked by kindness, joy, and an enduring devotion to those he loved. Though he leaves behind a void that can never be filled, his memory will forever be a guiding light for those who were privileged to know and love him.
