Denny L. Davis, 68, of Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2025. Denny was born in Radford, Virginia, on January 10th, 1957. His early years were spent living in Hartville, Ohio, before moving to North Canton where he graduated class of 1975 at North Canton Hoover High School. He earned his degree at Kent State University, after which he lived and worked in La Jolla, California for 10 years. Denny eventually settled in Denver where he ran his Allstate agency until his recent retirement.

Denny's passion for music started like it did for millions of his generation; in 1964, when at seven years old he watched mesmerized as The Beatles debuted on The Ed Sullivan Show. His love for lyrical turn of phrase, a beautiful melody, and the mythmaking stories told in the songs of Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Grateful Dead, and The Who were a real part of who he was. Denny was also a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and of course, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Those that were fortunate enough to know Denny will remember him for his quick wit, biting humor, and ability to prompt laughter from strangers and loyal friends alike; especially on the golf course, where he was a two-time champion, in 1993 and 2005, of the Pigdogs Greatest Weekend Open. Denny loved his family fiercely and we will all miss him greatly.

Denny was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Susan O'Leary, who he lovingly cared for throughout her fight with ALS; his father, William H. Davis; mother, Cullie Marks (Davis); and brother, Dean Davis.

Beloved brother of two sisters, Beverly (Jeff) Bennetts and Lori Davis, both of North Canton. Beloved uncle to Tylor (Ashley) Bennetts and their son Oliver, of North Canton; Jessica Merkle, of Akron; Israel (Whitney) Merkle, of Akron; Rachel (Mike) Sinsky, of Ravenel, South Carolina; Rebekah Merkle, of Lafayette, Indiana; and his beloved dog, Penny Lane.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
