Donald Alan Billy

Donald Alan Billy passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the age of 73.
Don was born on July 19, 1949 in Wayne County, Michigan. He was a son of Michael and Stella (Kawiak) Billy. Don was a 1967 graduate of Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Michigan. On February 27, 1970, he married Betty Wolf in Warren. Don worked hard to provide for his family and has been enjoying retirement since 2011. Grocery shopping, cooking, feeding anyone who would partake and golfing are a few things Don enjoyed doing but his favorite activities were watching his grandson's play sports and spending time with his family. Don was a die-hard University of Michigan fan. GO BLUE!!! He was a good man with integrity, always doing what was right even when no one was looking. Don's passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Don is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Gordie (Tonya) Billy and Jonathan (Kristin) Billy; grandson, Denver Billy, Jagger Billy, Jett Billy and Mason Billy; brother, Michael Billy and many extended family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Darcie Billy and parents.
The visitation for Don will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. instate on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the funeral home.
