Donald was born October 17, 1943, in Phelps, Kentucky, the son of the late Harry Hurley Knight, and Jessie Ann (Burgett) Knight Couch. On June 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Donna Mae (Barker) Knight who preceded him in death on November 29, 2015.
He is survived by two daughters, Danita (Larry Booth) Blanton, and Deirdre Montgomery; four grandchildren, Bridgette Alley, Donald Leonidas Knight, III, Ryan (Holly) Knight; and Tyler (Haleigh) Montgomery; seven great grandchildren, Ryker, Reid, Rowyn, Aiden, Rheagyn, Addyson, and Tinleigh; two siblings, Penny (Walter) Daniel and Dane (Connie) Knight; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son and daughter in law, Donald Leonidas (Carey) Knight, Jr; three siblings, Paul Eugene Knight, Harry H. Knight, Sandra Knight; and a son-in-law; Ron Blanton.
Donald was a 1961 graduate of Waverly High School. He attended Union Hill Church and loved spending his time surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Ryan Knight, and Pastor Bud Brabson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Bridge Street.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
