Donna Sue (Smith) Drake, 85, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Callie & John Rainy Hospice House, after a period of declining health.
She was the widow of the late Robert M (Bobby) Drake and the daughter of the late Luther A (Luke) and Nina Smith.
She graduated from Honea Path High School and was retired from Anderson School District Two as a Teacher's Assistant. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, were she served in various capacities over the years.
She is survived by her son Tim (Pam) Drake, grandson Matthew (Joanna) Drake, and great grandchildren Rhett, Parker, and Peyton, and sister Peggy McCoy.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by sisters Cynthia Fields and Lillie Mae Lowe.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Mount Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Krieger and Dr. Ron Culbertson conducting service.
With private graveside service for family.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until 2:45PM prior to service Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2603 Due West Hwy. Belton SC 29627.
The family will be in their respective homes.
Cox Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
