Donna Jean Lauterbach, age 85, of Shorewood, IL passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Care in Joliet, IL.

Donna married Wayne Lauterbach in 1961 and together they raised their family of two children in Shorewood, IL. She later built a home in Channahon and resided in Channahon for many years before moving to The Gardens at Park Pointe Memory Care in Morris. She worked many years outside of her home as a bus driver for Troy Schools in Shorewood and later worked at the Will County Courthouse in Joliet.

Donna enjoyed camping with her family and many years of traveling north for fishing trips with her husband, family and friends. She was a member of the Rod & Gun club in Plainfield. Donna enjoyed flying her dad's airplane and also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, one of her longest trips on her motorcycle was to Sturgis, SD which she really enjoyed. She loved collecting antiques, taking care of her beautiful flower gardens, and enjoyed making her own ceramics. Donna made many wonderful friends along her journey and her family is forever grateful to all of you who have been a part of her life.

Donna is survived by her children, Mark "Mick" (Sandy) Lauterbach, and Jody (Bryan) Kuehni; grandchildren, Ashley Benson, Kylie Lauterbach, Alex (Alexis) Kuehni, and Michaela (Tyler Gerry) Kuehni; great grandchildren, Zoey, Mia, Evelyn, George and Shepard; sister-in-law, Judy Tomasino.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lauterbach; parents, Dominic (Bonnie) Tomasino, and her brother, James Tomasino.

Per Donna's wishes, private funeral services will be held. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Lightways Hospice or Alzheimer's Association Greater Illinois Chapter would be appreciated.
