Donald Richard "Donnie" Storch, Jr., of Oakland, peacefully left this world on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on November 23, 1970, in McKeesport, PA, he was the beloved son of Donald Richard Storch, Sr. and the late Geraldine (Smith) Storch.
Donnie’s journey began in Pennsylvania, and he forged his path through education at Norwin High School before attending Duquesne University. His career in the transportation industry flourished as he shared his passion for boats and automobiles while working in sales, first for Bill's Marine at Deep Creek Lake and later for Patriot Chrysler Jeep in Oakland. Each day brought new opportunities for him to brighten someone’s day with his infectious smile and warm demeanor. He found joy not only in his work but also in the simple pleasures of life, including boating and fishing, often accompanied by family and friends.
A devoted family man, Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Lisa White; his cherished children, Stephen Storch, Kirstie Richetti, and Logan Storch; his father, Donald Sr.; stepchildren, Allison White Allen and Jonathan White; brother, Thomas Storch and wife Kara; and countless other family members who held a special place in his heart. His spirit will forever be remembered by the friends he made throughout Oakland and the beautiful Deep Creek Lake region—a testament to his kindness and love for life.
Friends and family will gather to honor Donnie's memory at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., located at 21 N 2nd St. in Oakland, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM, where all are invited to celebrate the remarkable life Donnie lived. Immediately following, all guests will be invited to Dutch's at SilverTree for the continued sharing of memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donnie’s name to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550—a fitting tribute to a man whose kindness touched the lives of many. Donnie’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Donnie's family.
