Dorothy Wesseler of Wacousta,
Passed away May 17, 2022, at the age of 96. Dorothy was born in Grand Ledge, MI on December 13, 1925, the daughter of Loyal Hamilton and Mabel Ruff. She worked at the Grand Ledge Public Schools for over 20 years. Dorothy was a long time member of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a past Matron of the Wacousta Eastern Star #133, board member of Watertown Township Cemetery Board and 4H leader. Dorothy was a proud farmer's wife and helped deliver Meals on Wheels for 20 years.
Dorothy is survived by her sons James Wesseler and Paul (Linda) Wesseler, daughter Linda (Edward) Faivor; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Loyal Hamilton and Mabel (Russell) Trinkle, husband of 71 years, Forest, daughter-in-law Freida Burke and aunt Mary Lawrence.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, 9180 W. Herbison Rd., Eagle, MI 48822. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wacousta Community United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Salvation Army. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Wacousta Cemetery with her husband Forest. The family is being served by the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
