Dorothy Dickerson Zeek, 94, widow of Burnett M. Zeek, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home.
Born July 20, 1930, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Isadore W. Dickerson and the late Ernestine Gibbons Dickerson. She was a telephone operator with Southern Bell Co. in Sears, New Jersey.
Survivors include one son, Terry Clark; one daughter, Cyndi Freeman (Chris); two granddaughters, Tracey Osteen and Patsy K. Hair; one grandson, Patrick Hatter; five great-grandchildren, Celsie Windle, Candace Osteen, Krissy Leugers, Kate Lyn Hair and Christopher Hair; two step grandchildren, Cristopher Freeman and Michael Freeman; two sisters, Eloise Timmons and Betty Ann Leonard; one brother, William LeRoy Dickerson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Bell; one sister, Martha Elma Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
