Doug Reimer Obituary

Born on March 8, 1972 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert Charles Reimer and the late Nancy Jane (Blair) Mack.
Doug was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a loyal friend. He was truly a remarkable individual who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a quiet, steady, and kind presence that made everyone around him feel safe. Doug enjoyed traveling, football, and spending time with his family. He was the rock of his family and gave everything he had to them, always a selfless person who cared more about his family's happiness than his own. Doug worked in the banking industry for the majority of his career and was most recently an operations analyst at Computershare.
He volunteered at the Spring-Ford Youth Athletic League (SFYAL) as a baseball coach and served on the board from 2016 to 2020 as both the treasurer and tournament director. Doug also served as a poll worker at Brooke Elementary during the elections. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and became a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide Football program after his family lived in Alabama for seven years.
Surviving along with his wife Jaime of 21 years, are his sons Ethan Reimer and Ian Reimer; brothers Robert Reimer, husband of Wanda, and Keith Reimer, husband of Melissa; his lifelong best friend Wayne Rauch who was like a brother to him; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468) with Pastor Jim Skulski officiating. The service will be preceded by visiting hours from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doug's honor to the Lustgarten Foundation which funds preeminent pancreatic cancer research studies through their research grants.

I met Doug at H&R Block. We both started working in the Collegeville office the same year. I didn't know him very well, but I could tell that he was the kind of person that made the life of everyone around him better for his being there. The world is a little bit darker now without his light. My condolences go to his family during this difficult time.
