Dr. John R. Frith, a devout Christian, esteemed educator, and decorated military veteran, was called home by the Lord on a peaceful afternoon in Salado, Texas, after a valiant battle with dementia. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family.

Dr. Frith's early years in Atlanta laid the foundation for a life of remarkable achievements. He pursued higher education with vigor, beginning with a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Georgia, followed by a master's in business administration from Auburn University. His quest for knowledge did not end there, as he also earned a master's in counseling and guidance from Troy State University and later, a Doctorate in business administration from Nova Southeastern University.

His academic pursuits were matched by an illustrious 28-year career in the U.S. Army, where he served with honor and distinction. As a Ranger and Paratrooper, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, a testament to his leadership and dedication to his country.

Following his military service, Dr. Frith continued to shape minds and inspire students for twenty years at Central Texas College, serving both as a professor and Chairman of the Business Department. Dr. Frith's life was a reflection of his strong Christian faith. He walked in the light of God's love, and his actions bore witness to his beliefs. His commitment to his faith was evident in all aspects of his life and served as a guiding force for his family and those who knew him.

Beyond his professional and spiritual life, Dr. Frith found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid water skier, gracefully gliding across the lakes with the same focus and determination that he applied to every endeavor. Running was another passion, providing him with moments of solitude and reflection.

Family was the cornerstone of Dr. Frith's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Frith, who stood by him through every season of life. Together, they nurtured a family that includes their daughter, Babette Frith, their son, Richard Frith, seven cherished grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy of faith, courage, and love.

Dr. John R. Frith's life was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be treasured and his spirit will continue to guide his family and friends. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a race well run, and a faith well kept. Dr. Frith has now found eternal rest in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, and for that, we are eternally grateful
