Edward William Dingeldein, age 77, of Republic, Missouri, passed away June 4, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. Edward was born in Springfield, Missouri, to Edward and Wilma Dingeldein on June 28, 1946.
He attended and graduated from Central High School in Springfield, Missouri. After high school, he served in the Navy, then went to work at French's Food Company for many years.
Edward married the love of his life, Verna Sue Everett, on June 30, 1972. They were happily married for almost 52 years. They had one child together, Jason Edward Dingeldein.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Wilma Dingeldein; and his sister, Carolyn Louise.
Edward is survived by his wife, Verna Dingeldein; his son, Jason Dingeldein and his wife Sarah Dingeldein; and his four grandchildren, Samuel Moore, Ariel Dingeldein, Isabelle Dingeldein, and Abigail Dingeldein.
He enjoyed attending church, watching westerns, playing puzzle games, keeping up with NASCAR, and watching sports. His greatest joy was spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren.
Edward will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10 A.M., at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri. Service will follow at 11:00 A.M., at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri. After which, Warriors' Watch Riders will escort the procession to Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, in Springfield, Missouri, where he will receive full military honors at 1:00 P.M.
His arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory, Springfield, MO.
