Our beloved husband, father, papa and great-papa passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at his home in Saginaw, Michigan, surrounded by his family, at the age of 97 years. Son of the late Edward and Luella (Mertz) Duperon and son-in-law of the late Eli and Tillie Petricevic, Edward was born January 22, 1928, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Frances V. Petricevic, his faithful and loving wife of 74 years, on May 6, 1950. She survives him. Edward was employed at C&O Railroad for over 40 years. After retirement, he joined his son at DDI, serving as Vice President. A self-learned man, Edward taught himself to play the piano and had a passion for reading and learning about anything and everything. His favorite poem was "If" by Rudyard Kipling. He enjoyed working outside on his wooded farmland and planting maple trees, which he nourished and sold.
Surviving, besides his wife Frances, are two daughters and one son, Victoria (Terry) Eddy, Grand Haven; Colleen (Pat) Osantowski, Reese; Steve Duperon, Saginaw. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Zach (Krissy) Osantowski, Stacie (Kenny) Benson, Adam (Katy) Osantowski, Shannon (Rob) Sharpe, Shane (Kelly) Eddy, Josh Duperon, Stephanie (Ali) Abul, Jocelyn (Pat) Hasse; and twelve great-grandchildren, Kate, Maddi, Cam, Brady, Brooke, Fiona, Maddox, Ava, Claire, James, Alden, and Zaiden; one brother, Terry (Leslie) Duperon, Saginaw; along with many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by one brother, Tim Duperon, and four sisters, Nancy Wilson, Sally Bishop, Yvonne Redburn, and Joan Johnson.
Honoring Mr. Duperon's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Juvenile Diabetes Association (JDF). Please share memories and condolences with the family at snowfuneralhome.net

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Jack was a smart and good man. As a child, I remember Grandma bragging about her son that worked at the RR. Aunt Fran, Vicki, Colleen, Steve and families please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. With love and deepest sympathy, David and Tammy Bernier
