Joseph "Joe" Allen Duperon of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend passed away unexpectedly from hereditary heart disease on Monday, June 26, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. He was 48 years old. Joseph Allen Duperon was born on July 14, 1974, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Thomas Allen and Margaret Ann (Hatzke) Duperon. He was a proud 1992 graduate of Swan Valley High School. Following graduation, Joe attended Central Michigan University where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He held various positions at B&K Corporation, Dow Corporation, CDI, and most recently with American Furukawa with his assignment at Nexteer Automotive. Just like his father, Joe enjoyed flying RC airplanes, shooting, and riding his RZR and dirt bike especially with his beloved nieces and nephews. He loved spending time driving his mustang, attending concerts, and going camping with family and friends. For anyone that had the honor and privilege of knowing Joe, knew that he was someone that liked to "poke" at people with good intentions, hoping for a big smile as bright and beautiful as his. Joe will forever be missed by all those that loved and cared about him but will forever be remembered for his kind heart and helping hand.
Surviving are his mother, Margaret Ann Duperon of Saginaw; a brother, Christopher Duperon of Howell; a sister, Michele Duperon (Steve Acker) of Saginaw; three nieces: Maria Duperon, Makayla Duperon, and honorary niece, Abby Acker; and a nephew, Mason Duperon. Also surviving are his little buddies, his cats: Hunter and Chance, as well as many beloved aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Allen Duperon.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at MyMichigan Medical Center for the care they provided to Joe and they would like to encourage everyone to have regular heart checks and seek medical attention if symptoms arise.
A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Honoring Joe's wishes, cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to his nieces and nephews college education fund c/o Michele Duperon https://gofund.me/944e638e.
