Edward Joseph Fink was born on March 29, 1958, in Oakland, California. He spent his early years in Oakland before moving with his parents, Joseph and Elisabeth, and his two sisters, Suzanne and Tina, to Alameda.
Edward graduated from Alameda High School and, following in his fathers footsteps, pursued a career as a baker. He became a foreman at Kilpatricks Bakery in Oakland, where he dedicated many years of hard work and craftsmanship.
A devoted father, Edward took great pride in raising his two sons, Joseph and Matthew. His love for his family was unwavering, and he was known for his kindness, warmth, and generosity. Whether among family, friends, or colleagues, Edwards friendly nature and caring spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Edward passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Oakland. He is survived by his sons, Joseph and Matthew, and his sister, Suzanne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elisabeth, and his sister, Tina.
A memorial service will be held on March 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greer Family Mortuary in Alameda. Edwards interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward.
Edward will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
