Mark Landreth

Mark Kevin Landreth, 63, passed away on Monday January 29th, 2024 at home in Alameda, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Mark was born in Castro Valley and raised for the remainder of his life in Alameda, California. He was the first born child of the late Franklin and Patsy Landreth. Mark graduated from Alameda High School, and went on to work as a store manager at Smiths Clothiers and later as a dealer relations manager in the auto industry for over 30 years, where his outgoing personality and sense of humor served him well and helped in achieving nation wide success.
Mark had a life long love of music and played drums throughout his entire life in various bands. For the last several years he played at both Bay Farm Church and was a regular member of the band at the Alameda Theatre, where he sometimes hosted events like Alamedas Got Talent. Mark was a natural born entertainer who could hold the attention of a crowd with his unforgettable charm and wit. He also had a life long love of dancing starting when he was a little boy performing in tap dance recitals and the nutcracker. Mark had a great sense of rhythm and shared his passion for dancing with his daughters, notably busting a move any time he heard a song with a beat. Mark enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, taking trips to Lake Tahoe and Disneyland, frequenting the Alameda Theatre to screen any new movie, and playing tennis and golf with his family. A day never went by when Mark didnt beam with pride over his childrens (Kaitlin, Kendyl, & Marcus) achievements, and he was beyond happy that he got to experience being "Grandpa Mark" to Miles.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Cheryl, daughters Kaitlin and Kendyl, step son Marcus(Annalyn)Apodaca, brother Steve(Kim) Landreth & niece Jennifer Landreth.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held on February 16th at 10:00 AM at the Alameda Theater with a brunch to follow.
