Edward Karl Nick

Edward Karl Nick Jr., age 63, was born on June 19, 1961 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He raised his family in Covington, LA for the last 25 years. He passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 surrounded by family. He was a graduate of Bonnabel High School (1980). Eddie started his career with the Local 60 Plumber's & Pipe-fitter's Union. He was a licensed master plumber for many years. Eddie eventually became the owner of E.K. Nick Plumbing, LLC. He always went out of his way to help all of his customers, friends and family with anything they needed. Eddie always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself.
His greatest treasure was his family. Dinners with family were his most cherished times. Food was his ultimate expression of love. Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and grandson. He also loved his time marching with his buddies in the Irish Channel Parades. Eddie married the love of his life Mitzi Roberts Nick. They were happily married for 30 years. Eddie was the epitome of unconditional love. Everyone that met him admired his kindness and warmth.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Mitzi Roberts Nick; his 3 beloved children, Brittany North, Brook North (Ashley) and Addison Nick; 4 wonderful grandchildren, Dominick North, Kate North, Griffin North, Luke North and his Grand-Cat and partner in crime "Donna". He is also survived by his siblings, Kimberly Nick Bode (Harry) and David Nick; as well as numerous family, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Karl Nick, Sr. (Evelyn) and Helen Mura Nick.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Monday, October 14, 2024 "The Chapel" at First Baptist Church 16054 Murphy Road, Covington, LA. 70433. Visitation 10:00 AM, Service at 11:00 AM.
