Our Daughter
Elisha Patrice Williams came into our lives on November 2nd, 1990, at 8:01 PM.
Our baby girl was so so beautiful and so soft. She cried shortly and then looked intently in my eyes as her daddy cut the cord she barely cried.
Elisha was so resilient from beginning to end.
On January 17, 2024, she passed peacefully in to rest after battling kidney disease since 2008. Our daughter is suffering no more. Thank God
Elisha was daddy's girl. She always wanted to be and do everything like her daddy. I used to call her our lil' MacGyver, because she would help her daddy work on his car in all these pretty dresses I used to put on her just so she could get dirty with daddy.
Our daughter was a Warrior! She endured so many things, never complaining. She was a loving mom to her three girls whom she loved dearly. Tootie, Snoot, and Char Char, your mom adored you so much and she will be with you all everyday we go forward without her physical presence, please know that.
Elisha was a loving daughter. Very creative and a hard worker. She was strong willed, compassionate, and she loved being a Scorpio! Her passions were being with and loving her three daughters. Cooking delicious meals. Making candles with her friends. Being with her "Special Friend", her "Sure thang" as she called him. I loved the way she smiled at me when she spoke about their joyful and fun time. Thank you for loving my daughter for who she was daily and being her best friend.
Elisha started school in 1996 at Lingerfelt Elementary School and graduated with honors at the top of her 5th grade class. She went on to York Chester to become a "Cougar" during her middle school years. She enjoyed being in the band, writing for the school newspaper and yearbook, and international studies. She also loved being on the dance team at the Boys and Girls Club, "Go Chiefs". Our daughter went on to get picked for a lottery at Highland School of Technology, where she thrived and was so focused even after her medical diagnosis in April 2008. Our daughter went on to graduate once again with honors and a full scholarship to UNC-Charlotte for nursing.
Elisha leaves behind her Mo'mma, as she lovingly called me, Janet C. Harris, her mother. Her Big Twin, her daddy, Edmund Pierre Williams; brother, Dreshon Williams; sister, Emani Williams. Her three beautiful daughters, Letysa Adams, Edrea Adams, Charlotte Adams; and her "Very Special Friend". Her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James L. Williams' grandmother, Garnell Gillispie; maternal aunts and uncles, Aunt Jamie (Ernest), Aunt Java (Dwayne), Uncle Elzie (Cecilia), Uncle O.J. (Mia); paternal aunts and uncles, Aunt Sheryce Williams, Aunt Felicia (Johnathon), Uncle Lovell, Uncle Travis (Jackie); co-workers at Starbucks; so many wonderful care givers; Levine Hospital Treatment Center; Fresenius Kidney Care; and many cousins and friends.
May God bless each and everyone who knew our beautiful daughter.
