Elizabeth (Betty) L. Hughson Nee DiRenzo, age 91, of Netcong, New Jersey, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, New Jersey.
She was born in Morristown, NJ to the late Julius "Billy" and Helen DiRenzo, and was raised in Netcong, NJ, where she proudly lived her whole life. After graduating from Netcong High School in 1951, she went on to attend Berkeley Secretarial School of East Orange, NJ.
Betty was a dedicated worker and was employed by Welsh Farms, was an Office Cashier at Pathmark Supermarket for 13 years, and worked at the Netcong Pharmacy under the Lerman family. She continued working at the Pharmacy under the name Lakeland Pharmacy before her retirement. Betty was a proud Honorary Member of the Hilltop Fire Company #2 and a Member of the Netcong-Stanhope Seniors.
In her free time she enjoyed the art of needlework and ceramics. In her retirement she also became an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Brian Hughson and daughter in law Sharon Hughson; many cousins, close friends and those who she babysat who called her, "Aunt Betty" whom she fondly remembered and truly loved like her own.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 3:00 - 5:30PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St. Netcong NJ 07857. A funeral service will immediately follow the visiting at the funeral home at 5:30PM Condolences may be sent to: NetcongFuneral.com
