She was born on January 14, 1942 in Urbana, New York to Richard and Dora (Leach) Ferguson. Ellen was a graduate of Addison Central High School. She married Thomas Hallett on September 21st, 1963.
Ellen will be remembered for her love for her family, her pet cats, as well as growing her flowers. She was incredibly kind, soft-spoken and was a gentle soul who looked for the best in everyone. Those who knew her well also got to know how charming and funny she was.
Ellen is survived by her husband Thomas; three children: Kristina L. Hallett of Addison, NY, Todd T. Hallett (Yvonne) of Coral Springs, Florida and William L. Hallett of Kalispell, Montana; sister, Judith Lavancher (Fred) of Tioga, PA; brothers: Wayne Ferguson (Joan) of Williamson, NY and Spencer Ferguson (Janie) of Cameron Mills, NY.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her brother David Ferguson.
As per her request, there will be no public services. A private graveside service will be held in Addison Rural Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flint Funeral Home, Addison, NY.
