Michael Edward Johnson

Michael Edward Johnson, age 52 of Addison, New York passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. He was born on November 26, 1970 in Rochester, NY, to Edward and Donna (Easton) Johnson. Michael was a 1989 graduate of Addison High School. He married Carrie Peoples on February 15, 1992.
He was currently employed with Corning, Inc. as an IT specialist with over 20 years of service.
Michael will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather that cherished the time he was able to spend bonding with his children and grandchildren. He was a standout athlete in school, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. You could often find him traveling around on his side-by- side, 4-wheeler, or snowmobile. He always looked forward to hunting season and harvesting the efforts of his food plots. If you couldn't find Mike, he was more than likely in his garage where he spent countless hours working on endless restorations.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Carrie Johnson of Addison; his parents: Edward and Mary Johnson of Cameron Mills, and Donna and Kenny Brooks of California; his children: Kaeli (Dylan) Deuel of Lindley, Bryant (Zannah King) Johnson of Elkland, and Masey Johnson at home; his grandchildren: Emmett, Kennedy and Kinsley Deuel and Kylan Johnson; his sister: Debra (Bill) Valdez of California; his father and mother-in-law: Ken and Millie Peoples, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents: Lyle and Gertrude Johnson, Martin and Peg Easton, and his nephew Jacob Davis.
Family and friends are invited to call at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00am with Celebrant Barb Rossi officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Hedgesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michaels name may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
