Emily Kathryn Turner, a beloved wife, devoted mother, caring daughter, and cherished friend, left this world on July 8, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on December 20, 1981, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Emily was a lifelong resident of her hometown, where she brightened the lives of many with her generous spirit and warmth.
A proud graduate of Paragould High School, Class of 2000, Emily married her dearest love, Matthew Turner, on October 16, 1999. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Emily dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Personal Care Aid at 1st Choice Healthcare, embodying compassion and dedication in all that she did.
She leaves behind fond memories for her two beloved sons, who recall yearly back-to-school shopping trips where she served as their personal stylist, always eager to make them feel special. Emily had an innate talent for hosting gatherings and parties, creating an atmosphere of joy and connection for family and friends. Her love for family, highlighted by her thoughtful gifting and passion for online shopping, demonstrated her selflessness and dedication to those around her.
A woman of faith, Emily was baptized years ago and held a deep love for Jesus, finding strength and comfort in her spiritual beliefs. She enjoyed crocheting in her free time, a testament to her creativity and caring nature.
Emily will be profoundly missed by her husband of 25 years, Matthew; sons, Matheu Ace (Maleka Allensworth) Turner and Elijah "Eli" Kohl Turner; mother, Carol Rawls; brothers, Williams Edward Rawls II, Michael Woodard, and Paul Woodard; sisters, Linda Ann Woodard and Karen Rawls; father-in-law, Elhuarn Turner; and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Emily was preceded in death by her father, Donald Rawls; sister, Donna Rawls Henry; and mother-in-law, Cindy McClure.
Funeral services for Emily Kathryn Turner will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 6 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance of her life, to share stories, and to celebrate the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. A time of visitation will follow the service until 8 PM.
