Doyle Dixon, 81, of Benbrook, Texas and formerly of Aledo, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2024.
Doyle was born in Weatherford on November 30, 1942 to Geneva and Homer Dixon. He was raised in Aledo and graduated from Aledo High School in 1961. He attended Weatherford College and began his career at Neiman Marcus where he retired after 38 years of service.
Doyle met the love of his life, Laura Cox Dixon, in August of 1968. They were married on March 1, 1969. He was a devoted and loving husband for 55 years. Doyle was a caring and steadfast father to their only daughter, Monica. He treasured his time with his grandchildren, Touse, and Harper, and loved being their PawPaw.
He was an active member of Aledo United Methodist Church until he and Laura moved to Benbrook and later attended Christ Chapel Bible Church.
Doyle will always be remembered for his humility, patience and gentleness in everything he did and how deeply he loved his family.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva & Homer Dixon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Dixon; daughter, Monica Cookston and son-in-law Doug; grandchildren, Touse and Harper; sister, Connie Towles and brother-in-law, Ron Towles.
A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11th at Winscott Road Funeral Home. Immediately following is a graveside service at Annetta Cemetery in Annetta, Texas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Doyle’s memory to Christ Chapel Bible Church or a charity of your choice.
