Esther M. Warren

Canandaigua – Esther M. (Cornish) Warren, age 101 years, 9 months and 14 days, passed away at home, on Sunday, March 2, 2025, while surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by five children, Connie (John) Quinn, Wade Warren (Pam DuVall), Jeff (Jayne) Warren, Wendy Warren (Don Donk) and Vernon Jesse Warren III; three grandchildren, Jennifer Warren (daughter of Wade), Erica Donk (daughter of Wendy and Don) and James Warren (son of Jeff and Jayne); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Vernon J. Warren, Jr., in 1999; sister, Mildred Colf; and five brothers, Donald, Lyle, George, William and Charles Cornish.
Esther was born in West Bloomfield and was the daughter of Herbert and May (Cottrell) Cornish. She was raised in Canandaigua, attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1941. Esther enjoyed singing in her church choir as a youth. After high school, she worked for Hawkeye in Rochester, a division of Eastman Kodak, where she worked until starting her family. Esther volunteered at Sonnenberg Gardens for many years, well into her 90's. She enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies in her yard. Esther loved spending time with her family and friends. Family was everything to her.
Friends may call Friday, March 14, from 4-7 pm, at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Private interment will be in Boughton Hill Cemetery, Victor.
