She was born on July 19, 1953, the daughter of Evelyn (Richards) and the late Theodore Ziaylek in Philadelphia, PA.
Evelyn attended Tufts University and had a long and rewarding career as an Occupational Therapist from 1975 until 2 months before her passing. She particularly enjoyed her work with students in the State College Area School District and collaborating with her friends and colleagues there.
On May 3, 2003 she married Thomas A. Davidowski in Newtown, PA., who survives at home with many fond memories. She leaves her cat, Mowgli who will miss his snacks and sitting on her lap.
She enjoyed the seashore on Long Beach Island where she spent many happy days, the outdoors, gardening, and reading, particularly mysteries.
She was very fond of her family; including her mother, brothers and their families, and cousins.
She was known for her positive and enthusiastic attitude, her outgoing personality and infectious smile.
She touched many lives through her career and personal life and will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to Evelyn's Life Celebration Friday, July 26, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:00am followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00am at St Lukes Episcopal Church, 100 E. Washington Ave., Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will take place at Newtown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to Center County Paws at https://www.centrecountypaws.org/ or to Clearfield, PA SPCA at https://www.clearfieldcountyspca.org/
Life Celebration Services entrusted to Swartz Givnish of Newtown.

I met her in September 2022. We were helping the same student. I learned a lot from her. This past year, we didn't work together but we chat in the hallway when we saw each other. Very caring person. Always smiling.

I remember Ev fondly as my garden expert. I became aquainted with her through the SCASD and enjoyed our chats about our gardens, our cats and swapping butternut squash recipes! She would often share some of the bounty from her garden with me---and especially the squash. Ev probably had the best outlook on life for anyone I've ever known. She never complained and always had a smile on her face. She loved the students she worked with and treated everyone as a friend. I will miss her and she will be missed!

I had the privilege of working along side Evelyn for the past 8 years when she provided her occupational services to my clients. I especially remember her kind but stern approach as she requested the following during a writing exercise.
In a stern voice, "left hand on paper, feet flat on floor, right hand holding pencil." My client, a first grader at the time would just giggle!!!
It always made all three of us laugh especially because we knew Ms Davidowski meant business.
